About us

Farming is still the dominant industry on the Estate by area but other key areas of Estate activity include minerals, residential and commercial property, fishing, shooting, events and conservation.

Wasing is nestled in the South East between the Berkshire villages of Aldermaston, Brimpton and Woolhampton. The M4, M3 and national rail network all provide quick and easy access to major towns and cities and we welcome visitors to walk, jog, ride or cycle along our network of routes.

The landscape of Wasing is typical of the Kennet Valley with open sloping arable land in a wide river valley. Cottages and farmhouses are all built of local brick and slate, and are an integral part of the landscape. Parkland and wood pasture, with their ancient oaks, dominate the centre of the Estate, along with numerous blocks of woodland, small copses and shelterbelts.

Key wildlife habitats include rivers, woodland and pasture, dead wood habitats, heath and hedgerow. Deer are common across the whole Estate; Barn Owls, Kestrels and Buzzards are also frequently seen and winter wildfowl are heavy users of our wetlands.
