Farming - Tractor in corn field

Farming

Traditionally farming was the most important sector for the whole estate, providing employment and an income for the Estate to prosper.
The business has suffered for the last ten years due to poor prices worldwide, but with prices on the rise we are viewing the future with optimism.

Wasing's in-hand farming operation covers 1200 acres. Our staple crops include milling wheat for bread making, oil seed rape for oil production, oats for breakfast cereals, and field beans (like broad beans) for animal feed and human consumption.
