Outdoor Wedding Venues

Set amongst our magical ancient woodland in a leafy glade, the stunning Woodland site makes the perfect backdrop for Wedding Receptions.

Natural wooden benches and chairs have been carved out of wind fallen trees and poignantly placed around a camp fire pit. There is a small aesthetically pleasing stage which is perfect for the couple to exchange vows. A space for a canvass roof using solar powered fairy lights and candles sets the scene for the alfresco dining and the pergola makes an ideal bar area. Argentinean spit roasts are a real focal point.

Just a short walk away is the Church and the vicar is sympathetic to couples from outside the parish and may agree to conduct legal marriage ceremonies for couples that qualify.

Guests have the option to camp overnight and the couple are offered the comfort of the ‘Bothy’, Wasing’s cottage attached to the Secret Walled Garden. (Subject to availability).

You may supply your own alcohol and food or employ caterers. There is no electricity at the site and generator's will have to be hired in if this is required. Barbecues, spit roasts, camp fires, lanterns, candles and acoustic music may overcome this problem!

The venue fee includes exclusivity to the Woodland site.

Our secluded Walled Garden with its magnificent recently restored victorian greenhouse is the ideal setting for the perfect outdoor wedding. As you enter the gate leading into the secret Walled Garden, let your imagination run wild.

The space is yours to do what you like, and Wasing’s list of suppliers will help you make your dreams a reality. Create a bespoke event and have total control...employ your own caterers, supply your own food and beverages, choose all your contractors from marquee companies to entertainers.

The setting offers an abundance of backdrops from the fuchsia walkway to the rustic folly and ever changing flora and fauna from magnolias to fig trees and snowdrops to passion flowers. Sipping your apperitif and ambling along the pathways, the amazing aromas of honey suckle and the array of herbs, make this a truly magical haven for any soon-to-be newlyweds.

The Walled Garden is suitable for any number of guests from an intimate affair of 10 to a large reception of 400. The lawn area within is able to accommodate marquees to seat up to 400 guests. There is also the Bothy, attached to the Walled Garden, for the bride and groom to stay overnight or have a wonderful weekend retreat with exclusive use of the garden.
