Much research has been carried out by various organisations, including the Game Conservancy Trust, which shows that the populations of all wild birds are about 60% higher on estates that are managed for shooting, as opposed to those that are not. Our experience certainly shows this to be true with populations of all our farm birds on the rise.
Shooting is enjoyed by people from all walks of life and all ages and is encouraged by the BASC, Countryside Alliance and The Game Conservancy Trust. About 1 ½ million people take part in this sport each year.
