Surrounding Villages
The villages of Woolhampton, Aldermaston and Brimpton form, with Tadley, the four corners of the Estate.
There is still a strong sense of ownership and cohesion from locals regarding the Estate with an unsurprising aversion to change. All three villages have fine shops, pubs, churches and schools, all of which are key to the survival of the community.
Of particular note is the Aldermaston and Wasing Show which is held on the first weekend of September every year. This famous event is known for its duck derby and is held every year at Robin Arlott’s Old Mill. Another date for your diary is the Nativity Play which is performed every year in Aldermaston Church. Recent performances have been covered by local television making a star out of our very own Barry Woodley!
