Complete with a view of the ‘Ice Pond’ and the quaint bell tower of Wasing’s 13th century Parish Church on the horizon.
Natural wooden benches and chairs have been carved out of wind fallen trees and poignantly placed around a camp fire pit. There is a small aesthetically pleasing stage which is perfect for the couple to exchange their vows. A space for a canvass roof using solar powered fairy lights and candles sets the scene for the alfresco dining and the pergola makes an ideal bar area. Argentinean spit roasts are a real focal point.
Just a short walk away is the Church and the vicar is sympathetic to couples from outside the parish and may agree to conduct legal marriage ceremonies for couples that qualify.
Guests are more than welcome to camp overnight and the couple are offered the comfort of the ‘Bothy’, Wasing’s cottage attached to the Secret Walled Garden. Please see the link for the Secret Walled Garden at the bottom of this page for photos and more information.
