Our woodland consists of hard and softwood, managed within a forestry authority approved woodland management plan with nature conservation our number one priority and we aspire (but don't always succeed) to provide an income to the Estate through timber sales.
The Estate is always improving the habitats at the sides of the rides throughout the woods for nature conservation. You can see our work and our beautiful woods if you purchase a walking or riding permit and if you do, you will be helping the local community because your fee goes straight to the Mount Charity.
