Carp and Tench General

Shalford, Bottle and Stag Head lakes are three of the most stunning lakes at Wasing.

Shalford and Bottle lakes are both spring fed with crystal clear water, sitting alongside one another and covering 16 acres, they are both over 30 years old. They are stocked with Carp of 40lbs, specimen Bream and Tench.

Stag Head lake is set amidst the ancient woodland within the gated entrances of the Estate and is often to be seen floating in Water Lillies with Dragonflies and Damselflies darting around. This lake was created before the 17th century and has been re-stocked since 1988 with Rudd, Tench and Carp up to 32lbs.
