November Retreat Terms

Wasing Leisure Ltd (Wasing Wellbeing) – Terms, Conditions & Covid Statement

In running any events, retreats or classes this year, covid-safety is at the forefront of all of our minds. We are embracing both the uncertainty of the year, and the responsiveness, agility and understanding needed to bring people together in a connecting, nourishing yet safe way.

Should the health landscape change, there will be a chance that the event has to be cancelled. At the time of writing here is the lay of the land envisaged for this retreat experience, and associated terms of booking:

What to expect:

1. The Accommodation:

There are two cottages available to accommodate you during your stay:

Home Farm House:

  • 5 x Twin Share Bedrooms (of which one is ensuite)
  • 1 x Double Bedroom
  • 2 x Additional Shared Bathroom/Shower rooms
  • Ground floor: Dining kitchen, separate dining room, spacious lounge room with fire
  • Maximum 11 Guests, currently envisage capping at 8 for this event

The Bothy:

  • 2 x Double Bedrooms
  • 1 x Shared Shower Room
  • Ground floor: Mini kitchen, small dining area, lounge space
  • Maximum 4 Guests, currently envisage capping at 2 for this event

Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

2. Shared Bathrooms and Hygiene:

The retreat accommodation is in authentic farmhouse or cottage accommodation. With the exception of one en-suite room, the accommodation is shared bathroom and washroom facilities. At the time of writing the government guidelines support shared use of loos in hospitality settings, but it is a little more restricted on showring and bathing. Therefore we are planning to operate a “Reserve & Clean” policy when it comes to shower and wash times, which is in line with guidelines for shared accommodation. This process will be set up as part of your arrival and welcome. While it may be a little less spontaneous than our usual freedom to shower whenever we want, we know you will all be keen to support us in keeping every one safe.

3. Attending alone, in pairs or bubbles

If possible, consider coming with a friend or family member who is in your bubble, or as a small bubble group. Attending in bubbles, the requirements for distancing around dining, washing and wellbeing practices will be subtly different. The event viability increases where rooms are held in twin or double occupancy, but of course if you want (and need!) to retreat alone, you can do so for a single supplement of £75. On booking you will be asked to note names of any other attendees in your bubble and make requests for room shares or single occupancy.

In addition please read through the following conditions of booking & attendance – you will be asked to confirm your agreement to this on booking:

4. Dining

During shared meal-times the communal spaces of Home Farm House will be set in a way that those from different households or bubbles will be sufficiently distanced. A distanced dining plan will be shared ahead of the event and we ask attendees to mindful at these times, using allocated crockery and cutlery to maintain hygiene standards.

5. Practicing (Yoga, Outdoor Activities etc)

Our indoor yoga practice space can accommodate up to 12 people with mats 1.5 metres apart. At the time of writing we are planning to limit total attendees to 10 for our extra safety and comfort. Attendees are asked to bring their own mat wherever possible. Currently no props or equipment are provided by us. We recommend you bring a cosy blanket or two, eye pillow, and other props you like to practice with. Some props and equipment may be available, subject to our risk assessments which will be confirmed closer to the event start date as current restrictions are understood.

Weather permitting, we are planning to include a generous amount of outdoor time in your retreat. Distancing becomes much more straightforward in outdoor spaces, and we ask that you come prepared with layers, cosy and waterproof so that we can explore the woodlands and ground together and enjoy whatever the elements have to throw at us.

6. Additional Covid Agreements

    • Only come if you are feeling healthy and well, and have not been experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19.
    • If you have experienced any COVID Symptoms you should ensure a period of self-isolation of 14 days has passed before the event start date.
    • Only come if you do not have someone vulnerable or isolating in your household or social bubble (the group of people with whom you have close physical contact).
    • Only come if you do not have someone who is isolating in your household or social bubble
    • Allow your contact details to be held by Wasing Leisure Ltd for 21 days for the purpose of COVID-19 Track and Trace
    • Abide by Government guidelines current at the time of the event (27th-29th November) with regards to public behaviour around COVID-19
