A Festival Amidst the Trees
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of our ancient woodlands, Well Read is for those seeking knowledge and meaningful dialogue about how we live with the earth, not just on it. Our authors and guest speakers are carefully selected for their expertise across a diverse range of topics, bringing compelling insights, lived experience and practical guidance.

Speakers and Authors to Inspire You
The lineup of speakers and authors at Well Read is as diverse and inspiring as the festival itself.
Now entering its third year, Well Read has welcomed some wonderful names over the years, including Miranda Hart, Prue Leith and Alexander Armstrong in 2026, alongside Estelle Bingham, Satish Kumar, Sarah Langford and Jonathon Porritt. Our inaugural festival in 2025 featured even more household names you know and love, such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Clare Balding and Melissa Hemsley.

With our 2027 line-up yet to be announced, we’re looking forward to welcoming another phenomenal programme of authors and speakers to Wasing for a celebration of literature and thought-provoking conversation, all set in the heart of nature.
Wellbeing Amongst the Woodlands
Wellbeing lies at the heart of Well Read. Our serene woodland provides a unique backdrop where inspirational ideas can be absorbed more deeply. But it also sets the stage for our restorative programme of wellbeing offerings, inviting visitors to slow down and reconnect with themselves, each other and nature.

Alongside thought-provoking talks, visitors can enjoy breathwork sessions with Rebecca Dennis, as well as yoga and dance workshops, with further details to be announced.
For those looking to embrace the natural surroundings more fully, wild swimming in the estate’s tranquil woodland lake, followed by a warming woodfired sauna, offers another opportunity to pause, unwind and rejuvenate throughout the day.
A Feast for the Senses
Food is also a highlight of the experience, with our Well Fed kitchen serving a delicious selection of dishes, featuring Wasing beef from our on-site organic farm, alongside adaptogenic coffees from London Nootropics to nourish both body and mind.

We are also very excited to be curating Well Read in partnership with The Hungerford Bookshop who will bring a wonderful on-site book pop-up in the woodland yurt, to pause, connect to the elements, and immerse yourself in a book.
Words, Wisdom and Wellness
At the heart of Well Read is a commitment to words, wisdom, and wellbeing. The festival is a space for thoughtful reflection and meaningful conversations about how we can live more consciously and sustainably. It’s not just about books, it’s about ideas that can help shape a better, more connected future.
Whether you’re a writer, a nature enthusiast, or simply someone seeking to reconnect with the earth, this festival offers a unique opportunity to explore eco-conscious living, creative expression, and wellness practices in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable.
