Wasing Fisheries offer exclusive, membership-only use of the extensive lakes and rivers situated within the Estate and Kennet Valley. The waters provide a calm, tranquil space creating not only a haven for those that appreciate and enjoy country pursuits but for an abundance of wildlife too including Bitterns, Egrets, Hobbies, Swans numerous Kingfishers, and a vast variety of specimens making it a truly special place for quality fishing.

Situated alongside the tranquil River Kennet and accessible through the private gates and surrounding otter fence, you will discover a premium and secluded fishing experience. Both lakes are distinguished by a number of impressive specimen Carp, including the fabled “Three Scales”, “The Oxlease Common”, “Fang” and the late “Parrot” which remains the British record, weighing 69lbs.

The Shalford Syndicate consists of three lakes, Staghead, Shalford and Bottle.

Nestled in Wasing Woods, Staghead Lake is our most mature Lake, dating back to the 17th century; it boasts a variety of species including Common, Mirror and Crucian Carp, as well as Tench and Perch. Originally used as gravel pits, Shalford and Bottle Lake have been transformed into a sanctuary for both wildlife and humans alike, containing Carp (46lbs+) Tench, Perch and Bream.

Rowneys Carp & Course Syndicate offers access to our expansive 40acre lake.

Located in Woolhampton alongside the tranquil River Kennet, The Rowneys Carp and Course Syndicate provides a challenging yet rewarding experience, imparting the lesson of patience to anglers. A vast variety of fish are waiting to be discovered within its depths, including Carp up to 40lbs+, Bream up to 16lbs, Pike up to 20lbs and Perch 5lb+
River Kennet & Enborne
The River Kennet & Enborne Syndicate stretches over 4 miles of scenic countryside providing a variety of beats, from weir pools and fast flowing races to tranquil swirling eddies.

In an effort to preserve the biodiversity we have an untouched approach to our River Banks allowing the flora and fauna of the fisheries to flourish. Barbel, Chub, Perch, Roach, Pike and Dace can be found within our beats.

Elephant Lake discreetly concealed by bulrushes, and Staghead Lake surrounded by towering conifers provide a truly innate angling experience. Both Lakes boast a variety of species including Common, Mirror and Crucian Carp, Tench and Perch.

What We Require Once a Space Becomes Available
Once membership availability has been confirmed Wasing Fisheries require:

(Carp and Tench Specimen Syndicate references will only be accepted from other fisheries.)

General Information
- Access to the Fisheries
The Fisheries is secured with locked gates; members are provided with a code which is updated annually. - Member Facilities
A locked building located on our General Syndicate is available for our members, providing kitchen and toilet facilities as well as member catches. - Bailiff Support
A comprehensive bailiff system is in place which supervises and maintains the fishery, enhancing our members experience. - Members-Only Waters
Day tickets are not available, Syndicates are exclusively for members. - Guest Permits
Guest fishing permits are available for all syndicates (The Specimen syndicate is exempt from Guest Tickets) at a fee of £25.00. Booking is required 48 hours in advance via Clubmate. - Member Discounts
10% discount is available to pensioners. 25% discount is available for concessions (proof of disability required). Only 1 discount is applicable per person.
- Renewal Options
Once a member has completed a full season at Wasing Fisheries, if they wish to renew, we offer an option of direct debit payment. - Member Communications
Upon joining Wasing Fisheries you will receive exclusive access to our monthly newsletters, tips and tactics and our recently updated fisheries maps. - Vehicle Access
The majority of our swims are accessible via vehicle. - Stocking Programme
Our lakes are regularly stocked via our in-house stocking program. - Annual Members’ Meeting
Members are invited to attend our informative AGM, providing an opportunity to meet our team and discuss forthcoming plans at the fisheries. - Community & Support
We offer a supportive network of like-minded anglers and bailiffs
