Anoushka Shankar

Boundary-pushing sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar blends traditional Indian classical, jazz, world and electronica into her work, producing a unique sound that transcends genres. Daughter of legendary sitar master Ravi Shankar, Anoushka‘s exposure to diverse cultures—from her upbringing in Delhi to her travel throughout the world—has placed her at the forefront as an activist, human rights ambassador, and highly sought-after musician. Over the course of a long and varied career, Anoushka has evolved into an artist able to call upon her fullest being, representing her multicultural identity and authentic, vulnerable self where every note played comes from the soul.

Salif Keita

Back in 2018, giant of African music Salif Keita announced his retirement. However now at the age of 75 the afro-pop champion dubbed ‘The Golden Voice of Africa’ is back. Having spent more than four decades at the forefront of his craft, whilst simultaneously fighting for the rights of albinos and devoting his whole life to defending the right to be different, he is a legend both musically and socially. Do not miss this rare opportunity to see one of the most adventurous, gloriously soulful singer-songwriters on the planet.

Nubiyan Twist

A blend of virtuosic players, skilled producers and inspired composers join forces to create a unique, infectious sound drawing on jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, dancehall, soul, reggae and dance music - expect ultra-tight musicianship and a powerful, big band sound. Their vibrant new album - Find Your Flame – features special guest appearances from Nile Rodgers, Seun Kuti, corto.alto and more, seamlessly weaving together global grooves, soul and jazz.

K.O.G.

Kweku Sackey aka K.O.G (Kweku of Ghana) is a multi-dimensional creative force, combining exquisite writing skills with shamanistic live performance, fierce raps, perfectly on pitch singing across a massive vocal range and some absolutely wicked dance moves. Not to mention his skills as a percussionist, arranger, bandleader and art director. A true poet and storyteller, he uses a mix of English, Pidgin and Ga to paint sonic pictures that reach deep into the souls of everyone ready to listen.

The Turbans

International legends The Turbans bind together musics from ‘manywhere’ with their explosive live show. Sonically huge and visually arresting, they are a powerhouse of talent. With its members gathered from Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Iran, Greece and England they bring their vibrant and unique sound to audiences who can do nothing more than smile, dance and shout for joy. Their aim is to bring music to the people, young and old alike, mixing vibrant spontaneity and authenticity with multi-genre instrumental and vocal excellence. One people, one planet.

ÆVERY

ÆVERY brings a fusion of organic rhythms and global influences, and a journey from deep downtempo to ethnic house, featuring Arabic and Middle Eastern melodies and sometimes a sprinkle of AfroHouse, Deep Dub, and Drum & Bass.

Nature Connection Meditations

Book your space at Nature Connection Meditations here

During this years Solstice event, we are offering you the chance to explore the ancient woodlands at Wasing and be fully immersed in the healing properties of nature.

In today’s modern times it is so easy to become disconnected from our natural world.

Modern living can easily trigger the sympathetic nervous system, and without the chance to reset we can see an increase in chronic stress disorders.

Being immersed in nature reconnects us to the rhythms of the natural world and helps foster recovery from mental fatigue.

Mindful time spent in nature has been shown to boost our immune system, improve sleep, increase energy levels, reduce stress, and improve mental wellbeing.

Based on the principles of Shinrin Yoku, also known as Forest Bathing, you will be guided through the woodlands, immersing yourself in nature, whilst engaging your senses.

These sessions will offer you the chance to slow down, be present and mindful, and to reconnect to this awe-inspiring planet.

Wasing are delighted to be offering these sessions free of charge, please book your space online as numbers are limited.
