Bar Supervisor
Wasing are seeking a Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar on Wedding & Corporate Events. The ideal candidate will possess a background in bartending and team work, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a high standard of quality in beverage offerings.
Responsibilities
- Bar Supervisor of The Castle Barn and Stables Lodge Bars at Wasing Park working both day, mid and evening shifts at weddings and non-wedding events
- Be a real ‘Hands on’ manager, leading from the front and working closely with the Bar Manager
- To assist the Bar Manager with all bar stock takes and monthly stock takes and confirm all internal transfers for the month when needed
- To ensure guest satisfaction at all times and to see that the Wasing Park experience meets and exceeds guest expectations
- To adopt a flexible approach to hours of work. This role requires working alongside business demands with holidays to be taken during off-peak periods
- Ensuring both bars are immaculate with weekly cleaning of all fridges, glass shelves, bar display work tops and machinery such as the ice machine and glass washers
- To ensure that all charges are applied to guest accounts and to receive all monies for these charges upon guest departure
- Keep cellar and bar stores tidy and ensure even stock rotation
- To attend meetings as required and to support the communication process across teams
- To ensure that you comply with all current legislation and licensing
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
- To train up new members of bar staff and supervise & support them whilst on shift
- To support and work closely with the Evening Manager when on event shifts, and be trained on managing an evening shift for cover when needed by the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong teamworking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
Contract: Full Time annualised hours
