Mount Charity
The Mount Charity makes donations to a variety of local charities.
Set up by the late Sir William Mount in 1978, the majority of funds raised for The Mount Charity are from the sale of walking and riding permits, as well as special events, including Wasing's Christmas carols evening.
With many permitted routes and public footpaths throughout beautiful woodland, farmland and lakes, it is possible to access routes across 6 ½ miles of the Wasing estate. All proceeds go to the Mount Charity.
For more information about The Mount Charity or purchasing a permit, please contact the Estate Office on 0118 971 4140 or send an enquiry here.
We ask all walkers and riders to abide by the Countryside Code, most importantly that all dogs are under control and where livestock (in most areas of the estate) that dogs are on leads.
All current information can be found on the Countryside Code website and we thank you in advance for your support of The Mount Charity.
For any group that wishes to apply for a grant please write to: The Mount Charity Trustees, Wasing Estate Office, Wasing Park, Aldermaston, Reading RG7 4NB.
