SOUND HEALING
Next Dates
Friday 11th April 2025 7.30pm-9pm
Friday 9th May 2025 7.30pm-9pm
Sound healing is an ancient meditation method which can enable participants to take a journey of deep relaxation, healing and self-discovery.
Many of us experience stress and tension in our everyday lives, meaning that we spend too much time activating our sympathetic nervous system, our flight and fight response. Therapeutic sound has profound effects on our parasympathetic nervous system giving ourselves the chance to rest, rejuvenate and ultimately heal.
Our host Emma harnesses the alchemy of sound as well as the power of creativity and imagination to facilitate multi-sensory immersive spaces and embodied experiences that allow participants to soar and traverse our planes of consciousness. Emma’s sonic immersions really encourage participants to allow themselves to release, playfully explore and take a journey of expansion using sound as their guide.
Attendees will get comfortable in Savasana, be led by Emma on a guided meditation and will then be invited to relax and allow the sound waves to do their thing whilst they sink into the journey.

Saturday 12th April 2025 10am-6pm
Whether you are a sound practitioner, musician, or have just felt called by the hypnotic rhythm of drumming, during this special one-off workshop, you will create your very own hand-held frame drum.
Drums such as these are among the oldest known percussion instruments, and are still used today around the world in prayer, ritual, ceremony, healing, and music.
Visy is a musician and woodworker and has been making shamanic drums for 7 years.
For this workshop, Visy will provide the all elements needed to create your very own shamanic drum – the wooden frames are made from sustainably sourced ash, with each frame carefully crafted by Visy.
The skins are made from buffalo hide and responsibly sourced.
Each person will also be gifted with a beater, handmade by Visy using branches foraged from Wasing woodlands, for this workshop.
Visy will guide everybody through the drum making process, step by step, with the group being kept small to ensure individual attention and guidance.
Aftercare will be provided, and Visy will be available for post-workshop drum advice.
We offer two ticket options, you can choose to make either an 18 inch drum, or a 22 inch drum.
This special, one-off workshop will take place at our beautiful studio, The Pavilion, at Wasing Estate.
The workshop runs from 10am until 6pm and includes plenty of time for breaks, and the day will conclude with a special ceremony led by Visy, to bless the drums and give thanks to the natural world for providing the materials needed to create these unique and bespoke shamanic drums.
'I have recently made my own drum with Visy and it was the most magical process from the start to finish. So much love and effort went into making my new sacred drum and I love using it in my yoga and sound healing sessions. I am very grateful that I could be part of this process and see it step by step. Visy is very knowledgeable, very passionate about these magical instruments and he pays an attention to detail. I would 100% recommend if you wish to create something magical for yourself.' - Veronika, Yoga teacher & Sound Practitioner

This 3-day, 2-night Women’s Retreat offers a healing and gentle immersion into nature within a supportive environment, set in the stunning surroundings of Wasing’s Woodland. Accommodation is in cosy single or shared bell tents with airbeds provided, pitched in the heart of Wasing woodland.
The process offers women a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship dynamics, fostering freedom, transformation, and a sense of wholeness. A time of deep personal transformation, the retreat offers the opportunity to explore and understand patterns, let go of the past, experience ancestral healing, increase energy levels, improve sleep, enhance creativity, reclaim your power and feel more connected.
We will combine a range of healing practices, including breathwork, parts work, bi-lateral processing, bodywork, coaching, somatic healing, shamanic techniques, movement, and a fire ceremony. During the retreat, we will be holding an outdoor sauna and wild swims by the lake for the ultimate reset.
Rebecca Dennis and The Breathing Tree Team are joining together to create a safe, supportive and powerful healing space for women to connect, inspire and breathe together. All facilitators are experienced and highly skilled in a variety of fields including breathwork, trauma release, somatic and healing techniques.
Joining the Tuesday afternoon session will be Alex Bedoya. Alex is a Medicine woman and therapist from Ecuador with 25 years of experience working with indigenous elders from Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. This session will integrate ancestral healing, bioenergetic therapy, somatic practices, and shamanism to help individuals release physical, emotional, and spiritual blockages.
What You Can Expect:
This is an opportunity to explore the power of your breath and dive deep into understanding ingrained patterns, clearing obstacles, and releasing restrictions that hold you back from reaching your highest potential—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
During the retreat, Rebecca and the team will introduce self-enquiry topics which encourage a deeper self-awareness of who we are and inspire further consideration of who we aspire to be. These exercises are designed to complement breathwork to bring clarity of vision, remove obstacles and blockages and offer tools and insights you can take outside of the space and into your daily life.
Over the three days, we will offer a variety of breath, body and mind techniques whilst gaining an understanding of the nervous system’s intricate landscape. Learning how we can upgrade our breathing and mindset for optimum health. Providing a deep understanding of the impact the way we breathe has on every aspect of our lives – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Integrative somatic breathwork is the bridge from our mind to our body and helps us be more open to listening to the messages and insights within. This can help release unhealthy breathing patterns, limiting beliefs, and physical and emotional tension, bringing about a deeper awareness of breathwork and release both physical and emotional tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel and bring higher states of awareness.
The Retreat Will Cover:
- Understanding how our breathing patterns affect life patterns
- Nervous system regulation
- Bi-lateral processing and parts work
- Somatic trauma healing techniques
- Effective and easy-to-use tools to improve our respiratory system
- How the breath affects physiology – including ways to improve sleep, alleviate stress and anxiety, enhance mental focus, boost lung capacity, strengthen the cardiovascular system, and increase energy and physical performance
