Solstice At Wasing
20 - 22 JUNE 2025
Taking place on the same day everywhere on the planet, the Solstice connects everyone in a truly global moment. A time when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky, the solstice is a moment to celebrate the life-giving power of the Sun, the warmth it provides, and the abundance it brings to the Earth.
As the Sun begins its journey back toward winter, the solstice represents a turning point, a reminder of the cyclical nature of life. As one, we embrace this time to connect deeply with the natural world, celebrate light, and reflect on the balance between growth and rest. The summer solstice is not just an astronomical event; it’s a spiritual experience that invites all who honour it to rejoice in the Sun’s life-giving energy and the interconnectedness of all things.
Join us in the woods for Solstice Festival to celebrate the energy of Summer, the cycle of nature and music from around the world.

11am Voice Healing and inherited Family Patterns: an experiential session with Jill Purce
This experiential session will explore how sound and the voice have been understood and used in different traditions as one of the most effective ways to balance and bring order into the mind and body and ultimately achieve enlightenment. Jill will show how we can empower our lives by using our voice to release a uniquely powerful energy, which can be used for physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual healing. By freeing the voice in certain ways it is possible to find physical health and emotional joy and spiritual ecstasy. We will experience the ancient magic of Mongolian overtone chanting, sacred songs, chants, sonic meditations and more. Jill will also talk about her development of sonorous family constellations, which heal the resonant field of the family. When earlier family members die or ‘leave” prematurely, trapped and painful patterns of exclusion act as magnets or attractors for later generations. Jill will talk about her work, which finds the key to unlock persistent patterns, so order is restored and the family system opened to the light of revelation and redemption, the key that sets the individual and the family and later generations free. We will have fun while learning to use, share, extend and free our voice with the international pioneer of both sound and ancestral healing.

ARTISTS

James Blake
The GRAMMY® and Mercury Prize Award-winning UK singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer unassumingly operates as the enigmatic engine behind some of the most influential albums of the 21st century.
He produced choice cuts on Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. and Dave’s We’re All Alone In This Together, as well as JAY-Z’s 4:44 and Beyoncé’s Lemonade - to which he also lent his voice in both cases. While feature appearances span “Stop Trying to Be God” with Stevie Wonder and Kid Cudi on Travis Scott’s epic ASTROWORLD and “King’s Dead” with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Future from the chart-dominating Black Panther: The Album. The latter not only went triple-platinum, but it also earned Blake his first GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Rap Performance.”
Simultaneously, James has emerged as pop’s most celebrated outlier with his dynamic solo output. He introduced a singular sound on 2011’s James Blake. Awarding the record a rare 9.0-out-of-10 score, Pitchfork crowned it one of “Top 100 Albums of the Decade So Far (2010-2014).” On its heels, the 2013 Overgrown illustrated his rare magnetic ability to align the likes of Brian Eno and RZA on the same project. It notably received the 2013 Mercury Prize and secured Blake’s “Best New Artist” nomination at the GRAMMY® Awards. After 2016’s The Colour In Anything, he reached new critical and commercial peaks with Assume Form during 2019. It bowed at #21 on the Billboard Top 200, marking his highest entry to date. Beyond clocking 300 million cumulative streams in under a year, it garnered the GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Alternative Album” and graced “Best of 2019” lists for outlets including Time Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Billboard, DJ Booth, and Esquire. Blake entertained fans through COVID-19, while live music was put on hold, treating them to Instagram live performances, new music sneak peaks and two critically acclaimed EPs, Before and Covers.
James released his fifth studio album Friends That Break Your Heart in October 2021, which received mass critical claim and was his highest charting album in the UK to date (debuting at #4 on the UK Official Albums charts).
James’ Grammy-nominated, sixth studio album, Playing Robots Into Heaven saw him return to the electronic roots of his Hessle, Hemlock and R&S records days and nod to his latest creation, the celebrated CMYK event series. In the same year, 2023, Blake collaborated with Metro Boomin for the Spider-Verse soundtrack on tracks "Hummingbird" and "Nonviolent Communication" ft. A$AP Rocky & 21 Savage.
In 2024, James embraced his independence once again, embarking on a new chapter with Vault, a direct artist-to-fan streaming platform. He marked this era with the release of his CMYK 002 – Let Her Know EP, and singles “Thrown Around” and “Like The End.” At the same time, his influence in popular music continued to rise with Bad Cameo, a collaborative studio album with Lil Yachty that highlighted his ever-evolving artistry.
Kicking off the year with a standout appearance alongside Timothée Chalamet on SNL, performing deep cuts from Bob Dylan’s catalogue, Blake is now gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated seventh studio album.

Over the course of a long and varied career, Anoushka has evolved into an artist able to call upon her fullest being, representing her multicultural identity and authentic, vulnerable self where every note played comes from the soul.

Book your space at Nature Connection Meditations here
During this years Solstice event, we are offering you the chance to explore the ancient woodlands at Wasing and be fully immersed in the healing properties of nature.
In today’s modern times it is so easy to become disconnected from our natural world.
Modern living can easily trigger the sympathetic nervous system, and without the chance to reset we can see an increase in chronic stress disorders.
Being immersed in nature reconnects us to the rhythms of the natural world and helps foster recovery from mental fatigue.
Mindful time spent in nature has been shown to boost our immune system, improve sleep, increase energy levels, reduce stress, and improve mental wellbeing.
Based on the principles of Shinrin Yoku, also known as Forest Bathing, you will be guided through the woodlands, immersing yourself in nature, whilst engaging your senses.
These sessions will offer you the chance to slow down, be present and mindful, and to reconnect to this awe-inspiring planet.
Wasing are delighted to be offering these sessions free of charge, please book your space online as numbers are limited.

Tattoo Temple
Find out more about the Tattoo Temple here
A Sacred Space for Transformation
Tattooing is an ancient ritual - a way to bring to the skin what already lives in the soul. At Tattoo Temple, we create a sacred space where this process unfolds with intention, presence, and deep connection.
Each Tattoo Ceremony is a unique journey, designed to anchor prayers, visions, and symbols into the body through a Tattoo Talisman / Skin Story. Using meditation, energy work, sound healing, and sacred plants, we open the space for tattooing to become a true act of embodiment and transformation.
Inside the Tattoo Temple, Manuela Ruas and Emily Sakhila each hold their own practice, offering individual sessions that honour the ancient art of tattooing in a spiritual and intentional way.
Manuela Ruas works with the ancestral handpoke technique, using quartz crystal to hold the needles and infuse the skin with a crystalline frequency. Her background in holistic therapies and ancestral healing arts is woven into every tattoo, creating talismans that carry deep meaning and energetic resonance.
Emily Sakhila also works with handpoke, bringing an intuitive approach to her designs. She translates energies and personal visions into symbolic tattoos that hold profound spiritual significance, guiding each person through a journey of self-expression and remembrance.
Though both tattoo separately, they come together to create the Tattoo Temple - a shared space where tattooing becomes a ceremony, a tool for transformation, and a bridge between body and spirit.
Prices range from £180 - 225 per hour.
